Reliance Trends Durga Puja 2018 Collection – There is something about this time of the year that makes me poetic. I have stated time and again how much I love this change that ushers in the Durga Puja. Just seeing the vibe of the city change a complete 180 is a sight to behold. And the insane creativity that one can witness while pandal hopping is just a cherry on top. Sigh! Well that is one aspect of the festivity…the other being the mad rush for shopping and getting everything in place before the actual puja hits. Having to run to 10 different places in order to find the perfect item at the perfect price is a pain and half. Not to mention the insane traffic and headache one has to deal along with it. But I might have a suggestion for you this time around…two words…Reliance Trends 🙂 They are a one stop solution for affordable fashion and the entire family can shop there in comfort. They have introduced a special collection for Durga Puja this year. Keeping the hot humid weather we have the clothes are mainly made from cotton material. Now before you worry that it might be dull and drab coz of that fact let me tell you that have you covered. The ethnic clothes have kari print on them aka gold block print. Ah yes forgot to mention that they have both an ethnic as well as a western collection for both men and women. So you are basically spoiled for choices. This beautiful red kurta with gold detailing on the neck caught my eye which is from their in-house brand.
Btw I picked the earrings from the store as well. I really loved the shell and pearl detailing on it. I paired the kurta with a printed white skirt which I had bought long back from Dakhinapan. The color pairing went perfectly with the theme for the festivities. This particular kurta does not have a slit on the side and can be worn as a dress if you are so inclined. I love how the pictures turned out! What do you think? The kash phool made for a lovely backdrop with the light of the setting sun. I finally worked with one of my friends for the shoot! I have been meaning to work with him for quite sometime now and finally things fell in place. Would love to hear you feedback on the look as well as the pictures. We had quite a time taking these pictures as the fields were muddy! My friend helped me stand on a cardboard piece while he waded through mud for the pics! By the end of it we were covered in mud (him more than me) and kash phool pieces but had a fun time with the shoot 🙂 Well here is to more content that we might create in the future. I will see you guys soon…take care!
