It is every woman’s nightmare to “not have a thing to wear” in her closet especially before an important event. We get so caught up in the sameness of what we own that often end up suffering from tunnel vision aka always pairing the same separates together. Sometimes a simple addition can completely change the look and mood of an outfit letting us totally fake the feeling of have a half dozen different outfits 🙂 Today I’m going to show you how I created different feelings or outfits with a basic ensemble and playing with jewelry. I get so many requests to do posts on how to pair different items together to get whole new looks. So lets start off a series where we can see how simple it to increase the size of your closet tenfold without even causing any change to your bank balance 😉 Did I just hear a hallelujah?
You can go from a western to a fusion to an ethnic feel by just playing with your jewelry. I love statement jewelry especially necklaces and tend to get myself some really chunky unique pieces. If you are not comfortable with the big pieces then you can stick with simpler ones. Layering the pieces can give the desired effect too or you can start with statement rings or earrings to sort of ease you into wearing the chunkier pieces out there. Mix and match is the key word that you need to keep in mind. Well I hope you got some ideas on how to expand your closet 🙂 I will come up with more pairing and outfit ideas for you in the future so keep watching this space 🙂 Oh please welcome Yoshita Saraf who took these gorgeous pictures for me. You can check out her body of work on Facebook. Until next time my loves…See ya!
